	STARFEST Competition Information * When: Saturday, September 30, 2023 * Where: Elwood Olsen Stadium, Morningside University, 3201 Peters Avenue, Sioux City, IA * Admission: $15 and children under 5 are free (can be purchase at the door or online) * Event wristbands can be picked up at the entrance (location TBD) on the day of the event. All online tickets are non-refundable. * Programs: $5 * Concessions will be available for purchase on site. * Free parking is available in the stadium parking lot which can be access from Morningside Avenue at Peters or Vine Avenue. Travel on some roads around the stadium will be limited.
	STARFEST is a Northwest Iowa Marching Band Competition held on the last Saturday in September. STARFEST's goal is to create a great field marching competition experience for the participating bands, their supporters and the Siouxland Area marching band fans. The competition consist of a prelim competition by IHSMA school size classifications and the top 10 high scoring bands compete in a finals contest held at Elwood Olsen Stadium on the campus of Morningside University. The broad lineup of competing bands is made up of bands from Iowa, Nebraska, South Dakota and Minnesota. Awards are given at the end of the prelim competition and a finals award ceremony is held following the host band, North High Marching Stars, exhibition perfomance.
