The Capitol City Marching Band Championships is an NSBA Competition Site Sanctioned event. It utilizes a prelims/finals format in which all bands have the opportunity to perform their show twice for a panel of state marching band contest caliber adjudicators from throughout the country. Exhibition bands are also encouraged to attend! NSBA ballots and rules are used and can be found at nsbma.org. Directors participate in live critique sessions with adjudicators between performances in an effort to improve the educational experience for students and directors alike. There is no parade with this event. Seacrest Field provides bands an ideal marching band setting for bands to share their efforts with audiences and judges. The absence of a track surrounding the field makes for a more intimate performance and our high press box provides the very best perspective to evaluate band performances. Ample parking and seating as well as an outstanding public address system creates a spectator experience that is unmatched in the state of Nebraska. The Lincoln Southeast High School Band Boosters have proudly hosted marching band contests for the past twenty one years and we look forward to hosting your band!
