McKendree University Athletic Bands is pleased to announce our third year of hosting The McKendree University Small Band Marching Band Championship! Bands will be classified based upon musician size. For the 2019 season, bands are limited to 65 total musicians to be able to participate. Bands will then be broken into classifications based upon musician size. It will either be a prelims / finals show or just a single performance show based on the number of participating bands.

Information for Participating Directors:

We offer following amenities for attending bands:

*Lighted Game Day Turf Field
*Bands perform based on number of instrumentalists
*Awards for 1st, 2nd, 3rd place in each class and Grand Champion Award
*Caption awards to include: Outstanding Percussion, Color Guard, Visual Presentation, and Music Performance
*Video review immediately after each bands' performance
*Clinician comments immediately after each band's performance
*Indoor Director and Staff hospitality room overlooking the field
*Concessions will be available for purchase

To Participate:

Step #1 – Complete the registration found HERE

Step #2 – Turn in a payment request to your Business Office or Principal

NOTE: An Entry Fee of $200 is due by August 31, 2019. Please mail your payment after submitting your registration. After August 31, 2019, the Entry Fee will raise to $250. Please mail in your check after after submitting your registration.

Step #3 - Please contact your principal or business office to secure a Certificate of Insurance listing McKendree University as an additional insured for the 2019-2020 academic year. This process is required for you to complete due to the policy of our institution. We sincerely appreciate your cooperation in this process. Thanks!

Step #4 – Verify your final numbers in the marching band (this information will be e-mailed to you approximately one month prior to the show).

Step #5 - Following your final show information confirmation email with McKendree, please return the attached "Clinician Information Form" at some point during the week before show.
