The Pride of Washington is proud to present the 58th Annual Gene Hunt Marching Invitational on Saturday, October 3rd, 2026! This event is one of the longest running festivals in the state of Missouri. This is a preliminary and finals competition, and your entry fee also allows us to provide each band with a quality video of their performances (both prelims and finals for the groups who participate in both). This year, competing bands will be classified by ensemble size, not MSHSAA classifications. Performance order within these classifications will be determined by a lottery for all bands entered before May 1, 2026. Bands entered after May 1 will be placed in their competing class based on order of entry. Directors will be notified of their class grouping after the festival registration window closes. The highest scoring band from each classification will automatically advance to the finals competition. Bands will compete for caption awards (Outstanding Music, Visual, General Effect) and placement awards, as well as Outstanding Color Guard and Percussion in finals. Featuring an All-Star adjudication team from the California State Band Adjudicators Association, Drum Corps International, Winter Guard International, as well as well respected educators from Oklahoma, Texas and Missouri.
