The Elkhorn Sounds of Excellence is a joint effort of the high Schools in the Elkhorn Public Schools district. It is meant as a celebration of high achievement in marching band and an opportunity for bands to receive valuable insights in the weeks before the Nebraska State Marching events! The competition is in its ninth year, and we are excited to provide a premier-level experience for participating bands and spectators!

The contest is a Prelims-Finals format, and is an NSBA sanctioned contest, running with those ballots and scoring systems.

We include several features that add value to the day, including: judge panel critique sessions for directors, a 15-minute critique for your full band by a dedicated critique judge immediately after your performance, pre-performance water station for all performers, and entertainment during down-times between prelims and finals.

The event is held at the Elkhorn Public Schools stadium located at:

Elkhorn High School
