Sullivan Marching Festival

| The 26th annual Sullivan
Marching Festival features a morning parade through
downtown Sullivan and an afternoon field competition at
our spacious football stadium equipped with a turf
field. Bands will be separated by MSHSAA classifications
(or equivalent for out of state groups) and, to keep
classes relatively small, a natural break in school
enrollment may be used. All schools will receive awards
for placement. For parade competition, caption awards
will be given for music, marching, auxiliary,
percussion, and drum major. For field competition,
captions will be given for music effect, visual effect,
auxiliary, percussion, and drum major. New for
2013: Each band will be given a mini clinic
immediately following the field performance and a
complimentary, professionally recorded DVD of the
performance. We are excited to offer both the mini
clinic and the performance recording from our elevated
press box which should provide a unique vantage point.
Bands also will be given flash drives with judges’
comments to go along with the complimentary DVD
recording.

Admission Prices
Admission is $5 for adults, $3 for students and
senior citizens (65+) and Children 5 years and under are
free. Programs will be sold throughout the festival
venue and parade route for $2.

Step-Off: 10:00 am with approximately 5 minutes
between each band
