US Bands Southwest Missouri Regional

1. Reasonable Entry Fees ($150 for Groups 1-3, $250
for Groups 4-6.. see note #2 for information about group
size).
2. All Bands compete in groups based on band size,
not school size, and include ALL performing members --
winds, percussion, guard and drum majors. Group sizes
are listed as the following:
Group 1 - 1-40 members
Group 2 - 41-55
Group 3 - 56-75
Group 4 - 76-100
Group 5 - 101-135
Group 6 - 136+
3. Bands have the option to enter in one of two
classifications:
Open Class: Seasoned ensembles that demonstrate
expanded skill sets and are adjudicated on a scale
supporting intermediate to advanced skills.
A Class: Ensembles who demonstrate a basic to
intermediate skill set (may be building/rebuilding
their program) and are adjudicated on a scale
representing fundamental to intermediate skills.
4. Music, Visual, Effect, Percussion and Color Guard
adjudicators to evaluate as many of your performers as
possible.
5. Every band staff has the opportunity to speak with
the judges at a judges critique session following the
contest.
6. World class judging panels representing the very
best minds from DCI, WGI and the marching arts.
7. Designations are awarded in each classification
for outstanding Music, Overall Effect, Visual,
Percussion and Color Guard performance!
8. A scholastic approach to scoring which emphasizes
the amazing accomplishments of your students!
