Seneca Marching Festival
Seneca, MO
September 27, 2014The staff, at Seneca R-7, is
proud to announce that we will be hosting a marching
festival September 27, 2014. Times will be announced at
a later date. This competition will be for bands with 75
members and smaller. There will be a parade in the
morning in downtown Seneca at 10:30 AM, with the marching
festival to follow at 1:00 PM. More information will
follow as it becomes more available. We hope that you
join us for our festival!Prelims in the marching
festival will be followed by a finals of the top 6-8 bands,
depending on the amount of schools that are interested.
The festival is designed to be an educational experience
for you and your students to get some feedback on how
the show is progressing and what needs attention.

- Field is a grass field, with no track around it.
- There will be a Preliminary round for all bands
and the top bands will advance to the Final round.
- The number of bands in the Finals will be based
on the number of participating bands.
- Field scores will be weighted approximately
60/40 music to visual AND performance to design
- Classification will be based on the total
enrollment of the marching band. Bands will be
divided into three performance classes (Red Division
0-25, White Division 26-50, Blue Division 51-75)
