The Blue Springs South Band Department is proud to invite you to the First Annual Kansas City Preview of Champions at Blue Springs South. The event will take place September 20, 2014.

Prelims/Finals Format

  • Finals will consist of the top 10 scoring bands regardless of class
  • Finals will be a top 5/bottom 5 draw following prelim awards
  • BOA classifications will be used for prelims. Finals will be open class.

Prelims will end around 4 PM and finals will begin around 6PM. There will be a critique with the judges following the full finals retreat.

This is an early season show. Please bring the portion of your show that is ready public performance. Some may have a full show and others may only have a few movements. The will be no minimum performance time penalties.

The field was renovated with brand new turf in 2014, which will allow the festival to continue regardless of most weather conditions. In the event that the weather is too dangerous to perform outside we will have a stand still performance in the Main Gym.
