Bands are classified by school enrollment, grades
10-12 only. Under our four-class system, Class A is 600
students and less, Class AA is 601-1225, Class AAA
1226-1674, and Class AAAA is 1675 and above. The new
classification system was adopted in 2012 in order to
align with the Bands of America classification system. |

The top 12 scoring bands regardless of
class are invited to perform in the evening’s Finals. If
a Class Champion is not among the highest scoring bands
advancing to Finals, they will be invited to perform at
Finals in exhibition. Performance order is determined by
a “Top 6/Bottom 6” draw.
