	We would like to invite you to perform in the 5th Annual Olathe Marching Invitational (OMI) on Saturday, October 5th, 2024. The Olathe Marching Invitational is a fantastic opportunity for your students to showcase their talents in marching arts. Held at the beautiful Olathe College Boulevard Activities Complex, this festival has “Box 5” warm-up locations, short travel times, plenty of room to room, and provides an impressive performance experience. We hope you consider making OMI a part of your Fall 2024 schedule! The 2024 Olathe Marching Invitational is hosted by Olathe East (Rebecca Fillingham rlfillingham@olatheschools.org,) and Olathe Northwest (Bob Davis rdavisonw@olatheschools.org.) Registration Form Registration Fee: $350.00 Registration for BOTH shows. Pro-Rated Fee TBD for split format (Ex: only performing first round due to Homecoming) Format: Prelims by Class & Finals by Open Class Event Timing: OMI begins in the late morning or early afternoon based on the number of groups participating. Adjudication: A 6 judge panel will be utilized Music Ensemble & Music Individual (at field level) Visual Ensemble & Visual Individual (at field level) Overall Effect 1 & Overall Effect 2 Recorded comments will be available via a cloud-based sharing format. Band Classification: Based on Band Size (3 to 5 classifications based on the number of participating groups). Weather: Field marching competition may be suspended at any time for unsafe weather conditions. OMI hosts will keep you informed at all times. All fees paid will not be refunded due to festival expenses. Field Show Time Limit: 15 minutes (including entrance and exit)

We try to track down as much info as we can but we rely on the festival directors to update their pages with schedules and results.  Fans can help us too the day of a festival by sending us photos, schedule updates, scores, etc. via Facebook messenger.  If you post on social media use hashtag #midwestmarching and we may share your post. Midwest Marching is not a governing or sanctioning body for marching band events or judging.  All marching events are operated by the hosting director or hosting organization.  Please contact your school’s band director with any concerns about a marching event.
