Mound of Sound Marching Festival

Southwestern College is pleased to announce The Mound
of Sound Marching Festival at the SC Moundbuilders Richard L.
Jantz Stadium in Winfield, Kansas. The Mound of Sound
Marching Festival is KSHSAA and OSSAA approved and
provides an opportunity for schools to perform for a
panel of adjudicators in a friendly and supportive
environment. The feedback given is intended to encourage
participating bands to make improvements in their
marching and music for future performances at home and
other festivals.
Registration is $100 (checks made payable to
Southwestern College Band) for competitive entrance or
$50 for comments only. Participation is limited to the
first 15 applications.
Each band in competitive entrance will receive a
plaque certifying their Rating of I, II, III, or IV.
Trophies and/or Medals will be awarded for the
following:
- Grand Champion
- 2nd Place
- 3rd Place
- Outstanding Percussion
- Outstanding Color Guard
- Outstanding Drum Major (medal)
