| Please join us for the 8th
Annual Emporia State University Marching Festival on
Wednesday, October 7, 2015! The festival will be held at
Welch Stadium on the ESU campus from 7am-2pm. The ESU
Marching Hornets will perform an exhibition in the
morning and for the students after all
the high school bands have finished, while the judges
are tabulating the sweepstakes results.
Trophies will be awarded for outstanding drumline,
colorguard, drum majors, and bands. Each band will
receive ratings from the judges and recorded comments.
The allotted time for each band is 15 minutes (including
getting on the field, performance, and getting off the
field), with a prior 30 minute warmup on the practice
field northeast of the stadium.
We are offering a reduced pre-registration fee of
$150 if postmarked by August 15. Normal
registration is $200, due September 1. Checks need to be
made out to the ESU Department of Music. Please send
money and the enclosed form with your preferred
performance times to:
