						 The Murphysboro Drums at Appletime competition is a 
						premier competition hosting bands from Illinois, 
						Missouri, Indiana, Kentucky, and Iowa, and consistently 
						draws 3,000 - 4,000 spectators. In an effort to be 
						responsive to the needs of bands early in the season, 
						Drums at Appletime features a review session with a 
						field show clinician for band directors and band members 
						immediately following their performances. Field judge's 
						performance comments will also be made available to band 
						directors during the week following the competition. A 
						Grand Champion will be crowned by combining parade and 
						field show scores and an Overall Drums at Appletime 
						Champion will be crowned based on field show performance 
						points regardless of class. • Grand Parade : Step Off 
						– 11:00 AM 
						• Grand Parade Awards: 2:30 PM estimate, depending on 
						the time the parade ends 
						• Drums at Appletime Location - Doc Bencini Field, 
						Murphysboro High School 
						• Drums at Appletime - Gates open: 3:30 PM 
						• Drums at Appletime Competition Start time: 4:30 PM 
						• End time: Apprx. 9:00 PM New this year: • 
						We will have a review clinic for each band after their 
						performance 
						• Our judging panel will use digital recorders and we
