The 58th Annual Southwest Iowa Band
Jamboree is scheduled for Saturday, October 5 in
Clarinda, Iowa. The parade begins at 9:00 a.m. around
the downtown square with over 50 bands expected to
participate. The afternoon field activities start at
12:45 p.m. at the Clarinda HS Football Stadium.
A special feature highlighting the Southwest Iowa Honor
Band kicks off the activities prior to the presentation
of parade competition awards. Bands are divided by IHSMA
classification and compete for trophies in both the
parade and field competition including caption awards
for best brass, drum major, drum line, soloist,
auxiliary line and woodwind section. |
