The Davenport Central High School Band and Orchestra
Parents will be sponsoring the Quad City Marching
Invitational marching band competition on Saturday,
September 21st, 2013 at Brady Street Stadium, 3600 Brady
St., Davenport, IA 52801. Bands will compete in three
classes: A (up to 64 members), AA (65 to 96 members),
and AAA (97 or more members). Awards presented will
include first, second, and third place in Class A, AA,
and AAA. Additional awards for Outstanding Percussion,
Outstanding Auxiliary, Outstanding Music, Outstanding
Drum Major, and outstanding General Effect will be given
to each class. There will be caption-specific commentary
and scoring, and an overall Grand Champion trophy will
be awarded. We will be utilizing a scoring system
similar to Bands of America. Hope to see you there!
Brady Street Stadium features artificial field turf
and over 4,000 seats. It is a fantastic place to be a
spectator and performer. Since this is an early season
show there will be no timing penalty and bands will only
by judged on what they perform. There will be a clinic
after each performance with a member of our judging
panel.
