| This is the same day as the Oktoberfest
parade and we are excited about having many bands here
in the area. There will be a panel of evaluators who are
both knowledgeable and positive to help motivate young
musicians with constructive comments and help guide them
to achieve their true potential. In addition, one goal
is to help prepare your ensemble for further
competitions during the marching season.
The categories in which the performances will be
evaluated are music performance, general effect, visual
performance, percussion and colorguard. Bands will be
grouped into classification by school size with the
addition of a Festival Class for bands that wish to
perform their show in front of an enthusiastic crowd
without the concern of competing for ratings or results.
There will be participation plaques, best in class
awards for the five evaluated areas, first through third
place trophies in addition to a grand champion award.
