| Rich Central High School is proud to
present our Sixth Annual Marching Band and Drumline
Festival, which will take place on Saturday, October 20,
2012. Show bands and corps style bands are both welcome
to participate in this one-of-a-kind festival!!
Rich Central has a beautiful new football field that
is as smooth as marching on turf. Because our field is
equipped with lights we can accommodate evening
performance slots for those of you that may have games
during the morning. Another feature of this festival is
separate classes to accommodate both show style and
corps style bands. This is an excellent opportunity to
expose your students to some of the top bands
representing each style of marching. Also, a drumline
contest will be held in the middle of the day with the
top two finalists receiving recognition at the evening
awards ceremony. Drumlines will be judged by some of
today’s finest percussion adjudicators.
The number of winds and percussion will determine
classification. You also have the option of entering for
comments only. The awards will be as follows:
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place in Class A, AA and AAA
for Show Bands
- 1st, 2nd, and 3rd Place in Class A, AA and AAA
for Corps Style Bands
- Participation Plaques
- Best Winds, Percussion, Auxiliary and Drum Majors
in each class
- Runner up and First Place in the Drumline contest
- Grand Champion Show Style Band, Grand Champion
Corps Style Band
- Overall Grand Champion (Highest score regardless
of category)
